The Metropolitan Building is one of my favorite venues in New York City. It’s located in Long Island City and is easily accessible from Brooklyn.
Foster and Marc’s late Fall wedding day began at the Box House Hotel in Brooklyn.
They did a first look right outside the hotel on the streets of Brooklyn and we then made our way to the Metropolitan Building in Long Island city (about a 10 minute drive).
The Metropolitan Building is so insanely beautiful. The light on the third floor is a really perfect option for weddings in the colder months. We essentially did 95% of our couple’s portraits and all group portraits inside the Metropolitan Building and it turned out beautifully!
The space is a converted old factory and has a resemblance to other Brooklyn venues like 99 Scott and 501 Union.
The ceremony was held on the fourth floor of the Metropolitan building with Foster wearing a Jenny Packham dress. There were candles all down the aisle which provided a super intimate setting. Xylem and Phloem designed some really beautiful florals as well.
A really big thanks to Justin Lee for shooting this wedding with me.
This is so good.
Thanks Kristi!
