Montauk is an incredible place. It really feels like the edge of the world when you’re out there.
The beautiful Montauk wedding of Danielle and Elie was absolutely one of my favorite experiences ever. We drove out to Montauk the night before and stayed at Sole East BEACH, which is the sister motel to the Sole East Resort, where the wedding was held.
I had been out to the Hamptons and the North Fork for weddings in the past, and the couple found me when they saw my Bridgehampton wedding published online.
(Pro tip – I recommend bringing cash with you out there as many of the cafe’s do not take credit card. I learned this the hard way)
Danielle and Elie’s Montauk wedding day began at Gurney’s on the beach for Danielle where she got ready with all her friends. Elie got ready at Sole East Resort with his boys. The couple chose to not see each other until they walked down the aisle so the anticipation was building!!
Expertly planned by Kate Edmonds Events, the wedding went off without a hitch. Guests arrived on the Sole East Resort property and found their way through the woods to the ceremony site. Danielle wore a dress by Amsale and beautiful florals done by Brooklyn Plant Studio.
At the conclusion of the wedding ceremony, the couple’s nieces and nephews came up to the front and helped release butterflies. It was truly amazing!
The Montauk wedding continued to the garden of Sole East with hammocks, lawn games, and lots of delicious food.
The tented reception was beautiful and the guests all made s’mores around bon fires at the end of the night.
Here’s a few frames from the day…
