First of all, how incredible is the Greenpoint Loft in Brooklyn? It reminds me a bit of The Liberty Warehouse in Red Hook with its raw industrial factory vibe and while it doesn't come out to the East River on a pier, it's got an incredible view of New York City from the roof. I've shot so many Brooklyn weddings over the years and it's one my all time favorite wedding venues and I was so lucky to have witnessed Lauren and Patrick's wedding there.
Greenpoint Loft transformed into a forest with expert planning from wedding planner Jove Meyer and the ceremony was held in the round with their closest family and friends looking on and long time family friend, Senator Cory Booker, officiating.
Let that sink in.
The US Senator Cory Booker, possible future president of the United States, officiated the wedding. (mind = blown)
The bride wore a Karen Willis Holmes dress with the addition of a cape for the ceremony and the groom wore a green traditional Scottish kilt.
The late Summer affair proceeded up to the roof of the Greenpoint Loft for cocktail hour and sunset views of New York City and eventually everyone made their way down to the main room for reception and dancing late into the evening.
