The Wythe Hotel is one of my favorite wedding venues in Brooklyn and it’s conveniently located in North Williamsburg. Holly and Josh traveled from Australia to get eloped in Brooklyn and the Wythe Hotel was the perfect venue for their intimate wedding.
The day started with Holly getting ready in a Williamsburg loft they found on AirBnB, while Josh and his brothers got ready in a room at the Wythe Hotel.
We did the first look outside of the hotel and proceeded to shoot couple’s portraits around Williamsburg, taking advantage of all the beautiful graffiti and urban landscape backdrops. Williamsburg is really an incredible neighborhood for portraits – you can find the grungiest walls along with some of the most incredible scenes of the NYC skyline and clean, neutral lines to use as backdrops for your couples.
The wedding ceremony itself was on a balcony upstairs in a Wythe Hotel loft, with sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline and incredible late afternoon light.
After the emotional ceremony concluded, guests made their way into the loft for cocktail hour and watched an epic sunset over NYC.
Then, we all went downstairs to the cellar at Wythe Hotel for an intimate reception, with beautiful speeches and toasts from Holly and Josh’s closest friends and family.
Here’s a bit of what I captured that day…
